Stages of Change

I’m currently reading “Making Sense of Change Management” by Cameron and Green and I’m only on page 5 out of 504 .pdf pages.  On the table of contents, the book mentioned the topic  “Stages of Change” and I do not want to skip out to that chapter [book has topic progression]  and so I did some web searching on the side and that is when I stumbled the “transtheoretical model of change”.   Many people had already studied and summarize the subject and there is no need to for me to explain further.

What I’ve learned are the following:
1.  You have to be in Stage 4 to make a change. Yes, be on Stage 4 if you want to change something.
2.  You cannot skip a stage.
3.  Sometimes, you have to go back to Stage 2.
4. Most failures happens on Stage 2, the contemplation stage.  Sometimes we are stuck on this stage forever.

”I want to know, understand, apply, analyze and evaluate the stages of change”

1. ”I do not know anything about “stages of change”
2. “I’ve read on this blog the “stages of change”
3. “I’m going to bookmark this article for later reading”
4. “I’m reading the stages of change”
5. “I know and understand the stages of change”
6. “I’m going to apply to my life and work the stages of change”

Hypothetical cure for HIV

Someone sent me this picture soliciting for my opinion.

Cc IMHO:
I don’t believe in the statement in the blue circle. Need to go deeper than the material use.

People do things because they have desires (wrong or misplaced) . Wrong desire or misplaced desire = HIV.

The true fix of HIV is to teach the human race the desire for “honor”. Being faithful to the spouse, no activities outside marriage. Teach this at an early age and people will be living hiv free. HIV is a consequence, an ill effect and the issue lies in the heart of every man.

So why do you think I don’t have HIV?

It’s because I don’t even engage in activities that leads to that situation. I don’t go to bars and meet people for excitement. When people live like an “enthusiast” Type7 personality, they will in some way live a life of destruction because all they are looking in life is excitement and excitement normally leads to an unfortunate consequence/s.

No HIV = teach the human race to be honorable and honest.

Are you “wire” or a “cloth” mother?
