SONG: Lord, I Want You

To You Lord, I’ll be true
And through it all, I love You
[x2]

To You Lord, I’ll be true
And through it all, I love You

In the blindness that comes
Through the bitterness of soul
You’re teaching me to see with my heart
In the weakness that comes
When you touch me with Your hand
Forever I’ll be leaning on You
[x2]

Lord, I want You
[repeat]

Day971: Dreams

DREAM:
A pregnant child Zebra2 jump off from a building unscathed.  I have to counsel her.

I was with MA preparing for a trip when an ambulance dragging her sister in a surfboard and she was dropped off in a huge parking lot and we have to take her to the ER.  I took my pickup truck to take her to the ER but she just hopped in the back of the truck like nothing happens.  As I was putting the luggage to the back of the truck, MA instructed me to be careful with his luggage since there were fragile items inside. When I placed his luggage the other way, he reminded me again.

I was in a big university and walked through a big hallway.  I was looking for an exit but end up with a huge double door with no sign of an exit.  I opened the door and saw MS and he shhhhs me because they were in a group meeting with a lot of people and the speaker was talking.  I slowly closed the door and left.

I was walking in a street without a shirt but had my black emergency backup on my back.  I saw 2 college roommates when I went into a very small tunnel which at first impossible to get through.  I went into the tunnel and  I was able to get through the tunnel just enough to crawl with my backpack.

Title: Favored
Guest Speaker: Christine Caine
Celebration Church Podcast

Favor of God is upon us but what is the purpose?  Is it just for us?
There is a purpose for blessings-the church has a bigger task to humanity
You are the house, the storehouse
God is already doing something-go with His footsteps
Do not be afraid, you have found favor with God

The Virgin Mary-Jesus’ Birth Foretold Luke 1:26-38
26Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth, 27to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. 28And coming in, he said to her, "Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you." 29But she was very perplexed at this statement, and kept pondering what kind of salutation this was. 30The angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God. 31And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. 32He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David;33and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end." 34Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I am a virgin?" 35The angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God.36And behold, even your relative Elizabeth has also conceived a son in her old age; and she who was called barren is now in her sixth month.37For nothing will be impossible with God." 38And Mary said, "Behold, the bondslave of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.

What is favor to you?  Awesome, Great, Good News, Excited
Many were chosen to bring forth a generation-having a favor is a big responsibility
To take the Gospel to all nation-this is the responsibility
Your purpose-Be the light of the world and the salt of the earth

Favor Plus Attachment:
1. Favor is always attached to PURPOSE
2. Favor is attached to TIMING
3. Favor is attached to the PRESENCE OF GOD
4. Favor is always attached to FAITH
5. Favor is attached to OBEDIENCE
6. CONFESSION is attached to the favor of God

1. Favor is always attached to PURPOSE
You are called to bring forth GOD in the midst of darkness
I’ve called you for a higher purpose
There is a purpose-to take God everywhere-to all the world

2. Favor is attached to TIMING
You cannot put God in a box of time.  God place the timing, (not us)
We all received favor from God-what is missing is timing (God’s timing)
Some of you are in the edge of giving up-don’t give up, you are almost there

3. Favor is attached to the PRESENCE OF GOD
We are not is a cruise ship, we are in a battleship (we are at war with the devil)
People need to be empowered-be trained to face the frontline
You cannot do this without the power of the Holy Spirit
The world is the battleground, be prepared and be filled with the Holy Spirit
My Holy Spirit will overshadow you with joy, peace, patience
The Spirit of God-this is your fuel, you cannot do it alone
Be internally motivated by the Spirit of God, this is your fire

4. Favor is always attached to FAITH
Nothing is impossible to God!
What is impossible with man-to God it is not
Allow God to be God, faithfully serve Him

5. Favor is attached to OBEDIENCE
Obedience is not a trendy word, not popular, we have our own way
Just say yes to God, be obedient to everything God told you
Obedience=Risks, there is always a risk, take it
We want favor but we don’t want 100% obedience
Obey and every thing will change in your life
Church leaders, don’t be an entertainer, be a catalyst
There is a price for being a Christian, pay the price
We need a church that say-WE LOVE EVERYONE!

6. CONFESSION is attached to the favor of God

Confess who you are. Be open about who you are in Christ (your faith and your life)
The power of life and death is in the tongue.  Declare who you are.
If you can’t say what God say, Don’t say it. Say nothing
Doubt dies when not spoken
Stop talking about your mountain, tell the mountain to move.
Don’t walk with arrogance, walk with gentleness- remember that you are favored!
Your life is your confession.

Day962; Dream

DREAM: Our neighbor’s house was remodeled.  The workers stripped everything in the house and the only remaining items were the frame of the house.  The house framing was extended to double the area of the house.  The look of the house was totally different and I cannot even notice the resemblance of the old house.  The driveway was empty and there were no homeowners around.  When I walked towards the backyard of my house, I noticed that the neighbor’s wood patio extended way beyond to my side of the fence line.  The wood patio was sitting right close to my own backyard patio.  There was a woman who was at the backyard watching the workers and I was going to ask her about the patio but I did not; I just left the patio like it is.  I was not sure if she was the owner or not.

Egocentrism In Adults

Condition: Adult Egocentrism
Treatment:
1. Romans 12:1-2
2. 5 Steps Egocentrism Corrective Action

So I beg you, brothers and sisters, because of the great mercy God has shown us, offer your lives as a living sacrifice to him—an offering that is only for God and pleasing to him. Considering what he has done, it is only right that you should worship him in this way.  Don’t change yourselves to be like the people of this world, but let God change you inside with a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to understand and accept what God wants for you. You will be able to know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect.
Romans 12:1-2

A case of weird human response [WHR]
There was a near-miss incident in companyX and I was invited  to participate an AAR meeting [After Action Review] and we were discussing what really happened during an incident that has a “great potential” of a loss if not being addressed.
In an AAR, the following questions are asked.
1. What went well?
2. What did not go well?
3. What will I do differently?

The meeting was a brainstorming session and everyone in the room gave their inputs to the 3 AAR questions.  The AAR went well and we were able to pinpoint the issue and provided a few countermeasures at the end of the session and action items were generated and assigned.  Overall, the AAR meeting was a success although it took us 3 hours to finalize. As I said,  it went well… but right after the meeting, a person who was a participant of the AAR approached me and requested ‘”Can I talk to you in private?” and so we did.  In the conference room, I became the receiver of long mindless rant:
1. i was blamed
2. it was my fault
3. i was left with no choice, it is always my fault
4. i am not good enough
5. they don’t know me any better
6. i am the best at my work but…
etc….

I am a self-trained listener and I let the person finished until there was silence.  But while listening, I can hear inside me this statement “GROW UP, IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU!”  I did not say that verbally but i felt guilty why I was thinking that way.  In the meeting, there was no indication that the team was blaming someone.  It was more of an objective discussion about the incident and not about a person.

Fast forward many weeks after the AAR, I found the answer why such an experienced and mature person acted that way.

“The Self was still connected to the Ego” and is suffering from a syndrome called Egocentrism

I am not in the Psychology field and I can’t explain any further, They call it “Egocentrism” and most common to people who has depression.

My objective  here is to help/deliver information treatment and not to gossip the suffering of others. I am well aware that there are people out there who refuse to seek treatment.  They prefer to do their own therapy or decide to just plainly suffer from the illness themselves without any outside help hoping that one day it will go away.  Or maybe some just don’t have the resources to see a councilor or a doctor.

If you decide to DIY the treatment of your Egocentrism Syndrome, please read the following articles. Once you gain an insight about the subject, you can then make a micro-self improvement towards a better you daily without spending a dime.

Guide-Transforming The Mind

Figure 1-  a mature individual with a healthy Ego-Self state is the one on the right.

image
egocentric-limited to or caring only about yourself and your own needs; A self-centered person with little regard for others

Immaturity of a Child p.201 Book-Transforming the Mind
The newborn baby is the Self, bearing within it the seeds of attributes
that will later develop through the stages of maturation (including the
first four programs and the potential for more). With maturation the ego
develops a subjectively experienced independence from the Self –
indeed it may consider that it is the  Self  and that the body and its
somewhat inexplicable feelings are separate from it – a subjective
disconnection that has been described earlier as the  body-mind split .
But in reality (at least unconsciously) the ego remains intimately related
to the Self – this is the E go-Self axis.
This diagram represents the development of the ego-Self axis (the
perpendicular line). At first the ego exists only in potentia as a
component of the Self. As development proceeds from this first biosurvival program, through the emotional-territorial, semantic and then
socio-sexual programs, the ego gradually differentiates out from the
Self, connected by the ego-Self axis – the vital link which sustains the
integrity of the personality. The fifth element illustrates a mind-body
split, where the ego has lost touch with its physical roots and the axis
disintegrates. In a sense, the Self is to the ego what the parent is to the
child; it also resembles the relationship envisaged by the great world
religions as existing between God and man; for the ego is the Self s
representative in external reality, and the Self is the Higher Self s
vehicle on earth. The newborn child makes no distinction between
inside  and  outside , between his mother and himself. Consciousness
has not yet appeared to disrupt bliss with conflict.
As growth of the ego-Self axis proceeds however, the original
undifferentiated unity is left behind  in paradise  and the world is
increasingly encountered as a realm of tensions. The Self, as central
co-ordinating nucleus of the total psyche, instigates and
homeostatically controls the emergence of the developing ego, and on
this process the whole future integrity of the personality stands or falls .
That it should not go wrong largely depends on the presence and
appropriate responsiveness of the mother, as the stable foundation for
the normal development of the ego-Self axis: it is the primal
relationship, the basis of the bio-survival program, the spinal column of
future individuality and autonomy. Gradually, with the emergence of the
child s ego-consciousness, the mother s functions of cherishing,
nourishing and protecting lose their anonymous features and
personify  as the attributes of  Mum . From this secure attachment
base, the child begins to explore, to investigate his surroundings, and
then of course the influence of his father comes to bear.

I want to know more-I was given more..

When you get a chance, please read all chapters at once as if it was written to you.

Day958; 143×1,000,000,000; Dream

Dream: I was at work at Bay43 and was walking towards Bay42 when I saw that the whole Bay42 was empty.  I saw Joven just doing nothing in the empty Bay and I asked him what happened to all the new installed equipment.  He replied “The want us to Read and Understand”. Near Joven was an open tile with a Korean lady underneath the open tile staring at me.

Today was a historic day for a new project at work.

When You Answer The Call…

I’m sure we all have received calls that have changed our lives. There are the kind we hope we
never receive etc. or something tragic happening to someone we love. There are also the ones that
change our lives in a good way. Some of you may have met a person at a friend’s house or a party
and you thought, “I would really like to get to know that person better.” After exchanging phone
numbers, the person gives you a call and as one thing leads to another you become the best of
friends. Your life has been changed and you are grateful for it.

There are many episodes in the Holy Scripture on how God called his Prophets. One of my
favorites is the calling of Samuel. Samuel got a call in the middle of the night His life was changed
and so were the lives of all God’s people for hundreds of years thereafter, especially since Samuel is
the person who established the monarchy and anointed Israel’s first two kings. Martin Luther King
received a call to the ministry and that led to other calls to struggle in a non-violent way for justice
for all the people in USA. Andrew and another disciple heard John the Baptist point out Jesus and
they responded to Jesus’ call to “come and see.” The next day Peter received his brother Andrew’s
call to meet Jesus. Their call was not dramatic as dramatic as Samuel’s was.

It’s very, very seldom that God calls out our name in the middle of the night as he did with Samuel.
Usually he speaks to us through others, through a religious person like John the Baptist or even
through relative or friend. Sometimes he speaks through someone we don’t like. If we answer when
God speaks, our lives will never be the same. Maybe that’s why many people avoid quiet prayer.
They might hear God say something they don’t want to hear. They’re comfortable with their life the
way it is.

As I look back from my past, I couldn’t think that my life was radically changed when God called
me to follow him, to assimilate him closer. I hoped I could be like everyone else and get married
some day and have children. But << the way of God is not our way, his thoughts are not our
thoughts >>. God just kept calling to me without recognizing it until finally I gave in and said
to God: “<< speak Lord, for your servant is listening”>>. I’m glad I answered “yes.” Giving up
marriage is hard at times, but so is being married hard at times. Following Christ in especial form of
consecration professing the Evangelical Counsel, has been very fulfilling and nothing to fear of, as
Jesus said to Peter: << Don’t afraid, from now on you will become fisherman of men >>.

At times we think maybe God is saying something to us but we’re not sure. God calls everybody
and it’s up to us to answer him or not. It maybe a call for marriage, to be some big thing like going
into religious life, to be a missionary, or as simple as volunteering for some kind of service to others
or praying a little more. We think, “is this really what God wants?”. God does reach us through
others. We see that through the Scriptures, he touches us and speaks to us. His eternal call to us is to
holiness, which we attain to an ever-greater degree as we come to know him and love him.

Try to think:

1. Have you ever tried to ask yourself: is this really what God wants to me?
2. Am I ready to answer His call?
3. Do you find it hard to say “yes” to Him?
4. Parents, are you an obstacle for the vocation of your children?

NOTES: Pure Sex-The Best Sex

I was going to keep my notes as “secret” today and just bury it in my notebook but the reminder from the Holy Spirit was bothering me since this morning after church.

We all made mistake, we are sinners, we do sinful things – big or small, it does not matter. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”. “No one is perfect amongst us”. Also, there is a thing called – “My people perished for the lack of knowledge”.  Yeah, I did not know about the word “purity”.

Most of us probably will say that to ourselves or our spouse – “I was not aware that my actions is hurting you or damaged our relationship”.  For those who were there already, don’t look back, look forward and make a better lifestyle change.  For those who are just getting started in a relationship, please understand the 7 key points mentioned below.  Your future will be much joyful and less painful if you abide the guiding principles about being pure.

purity: definition
– Being undiluted or unmixed with extraneous material
– The state of being unsullied [spotlessly clean and fresh] by sin or moral wrong; lacking a knowledge of evil

Pure Sex-What the Bible Say?
Celebration Church, 20130210

Be faith faithful with small things.
Disagreement then Divorce
Most topics at home are: love, discipline, leadership, truth, honesty, hard work, perseverance, but never the topic about sex
Sex is not being preached at home. Are you teaching your kids about sexual purity?
Sex before marriage avoidance, is the message clear at home?
Reason why sex is not mentioned at home-uncomfortable subject, don’t know how and not trained to talk about it
Society is always is the voice about sex, not the church. Now is the time.
No biblical knowledge is being discussed openly

7 Key Points:
1. Pure sex is God’s intention
2. Pure sex is defined by God’s Word
3. Pure sex is only pure in marriage
4. Pure sex contains no additional additives/preservatives
5. Pure sex is not about your pleasure
6. Pure sex must be protected
7. Pure sex is the best sex

1. Pure sex is God’s intention
Purity is God’s Will
Abstain from sexual immorality
Sex is a God given gift
Sex is the highest degree of intimacy in a relationship

2. Pure sex is defined by God’s Word
Do not practice what the world do
Sex-be fruitful and multiple [for reproduction]
If the action is not, it is not “pure”

3. Pure sex is only pure in marriage
Sex outside marriage is like worshipping the devil [idol worship]-produces sin and bad consequences ie. disease and guilt and anxiety and fear
Outside marriage, it is not pure
Can you produce? If no-it is not pure
Marriage must be honored by ALL

4. Pure sex contains no additional additives/preservatives
No need to stimulate
No outside people, ie. pictures, movies, materials, people
Focus on him/her-that’s it
Strange flesh is perverted

5. Pure sex is not about your pleasure
It is for the enjoyment of the other partner [not you]
To give pleasure to your spouse
Do not deprive one another

6. Pure sex must be protected
Sex is sacred in marriage-protect it at  all cost
Be sensitive to temptations, flee or depart or remove yourself from the situation
Stay away from places that you are not suppose to be.

7. Pure sex is the best sex

If sex is done with honor, it gives lasting pleasure and contentment
Shared with the husband and wife forever in memory
Pure sex produces peace and lasting joy.

References:
Now, about sex and marriage: Drink only the water that comes from your own well, and don’t let your water flow out into the streets.Keep it for yourself, and don’t share it with strangers. Be happy with your own wife. Enjoy the woman you married while you were young. She is like a beautiful deer, a lovely fawn. Let her love satisfy you completely. Stay drunk on her love, and don’t go stumbling into the arms of another woman.
Proverbs 5:15-20

I don’t want to believe what I am hearing—that there is sexual sin among you. And it is such a bad kind of sexual sin that even those who have never known God don’t allow it. People say that a man there has his father’s wife.
1 Corinthians 5:1

God wants you to be holy. He wants you to stay away from sexual sins
1 Thessalonians 4:3

Also, remember the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and the other towns around them. Like those angels they were full of sexual sin and involved themselves in sexual relations that are wrong. And they suffer the punishment of eternal fire, an example for us to see.
Jude 1:7

Some people think they are pure, but they have done nothing to remove the filth of their sin.
Proverbs 30:12

They should bandage the wounds my people have suffered, but they treat their wounds like small scratches. They say, ‘It’s all right, everything is all right.’ But it is not all right!
Jeremiah 6:14

Rules about sexual relations: Leviticus 18:6-30
1The Lord said to Moses, 2“Tell the Israelites: I am the Lord your God.3You must not follow the customs of Egypt where you lived, and you must not follow the customs of the Canaanites where I am leading you. You must not live the way they do. 4You must obey my rules and follow my laws. Be sure to follow my rules because I am the Lord your God.5You must obey my rules and my laws, because whoever obeys them will live. I am the Lord.

6“You must never have sexual relations with your close relatives. I am the Lord.

7“You must never have sexual relations with your father or mother. She is your mother, so you must not have sexual relations with her.8You must not have sexual relations with your father’s wife, even if she is not your mother, because that is like having sexual relations with your father.

9“You must not have sexual relations with your sister. It doesn’t matter if she is the daughter of your father or your mother. And it doesn’t matter if your sister was born in your house or at some other place.

10“You must not have sexual relations with your granddaughter. It doesn’t matter whether she is the daughter of your son or the daughter of your daughter—they are all a part of you!

11“If your father and his wife have a daughter, she is your sister. You must not have sexual relations with her.

12“You must not have sexual relations with your father’s sister. She is your father’s close relative. 13You must not have sexual relations with your mother’s sister. She is your mother’s close relative. 14You must not have sexual relations with the wife of your father’s brother. You must not go near your uncle’s wife for sexual relations. She is your aunt.

15“You must not have sexual relations with your daughter-in-law. She is your son’s wife, so you must not have sexual relations with her.

16“You must not have sexual relations with your brother’s wife. That would be like having sexual relations with your brother.

17“You must not have sexual relations with a mother and her daughter or her granddaughter. It doesn’t matter if this granddaughter is the daughter of this woman’s son or daughter. Her granddaughters are her close relatives. It is wrong to do this.

18“While your wife is still living, you must not take her sister as another wife. This will make the sisters become enemies. You must not have sexual relations with your wife’s sister.

19“You must not go near a woman to have sexual relations with her during her monthly time of bleeding. She is unclean during this time.

20“You must not have sexual relations with your neighbor’s wife. This will only make you filthy.

21“You must not give any of your children through the fire to Molech. If you do this, you will show that you don’t respect the name of your God. I am the Lord.

22“Men, you must not have sexual relations with another man as with a woman. That is a terrible sin!

23“Men, you must not have sexual relations with any animal. This will make you filthy. And women, you must not have sexual relations with any animal. It is against nature!

24“Don’t make yourself unclean by doing any of these wrong things! I am throwing nations off their land and giving it to you because they did those terrible sins. 25They made the land filthy. Now the land is sick of those things, and it will vomit out the people who live there.

26“So you must obey my laws and rules. You must not do any of these terrible sins. These rules are for the citizens of Israel and the people living among you. 27Those who lived in the land before you have done all these terrible things. So the land became filthy. 28If you do these things, you will make the land filthy. And it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were there before you. 29Whoever does any of these terrible sins must be separated from their people! 30Other people have done these terrible sins, but you must obey my laws. You must not do any of these terrible sins. Do not make yourself filthy with these terrible sins. I am the Lord your God.”

Loneliness: Look Up To God; Day953

We are still alive because the Lord’s faithful love never ends. Every morning he shows it in new ways! You are so very true and loyal! I say to myself, “The Lord is my God, and I trust him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for him. He is good to those who look for him.

IIS Media Services 4.1 in W2012 Server

While trying to setup the Windows Media Services on W2008R2 and failed, I was looking for an alternative for W2012.  I found out that Windows Server 2012 does not support Windows Media Services anymore.  W2012 now uses IIS Media Services 4.1 instead.  I deployed the Media Services 4.1 to my W2012 Server but was not able to test yet.  I still need to read the documentation to be fully convinced that I need to ditch the old Media Streaming that I am currently using.

Here’s the setup information.

Book: Art of Public Speaking- Ch29, 30, 31 Notes +End

Finally, I’ve reached the last page of this book today.  I had been reading it slowly daily so that I can soaked in the message that the author was trying to convey. Please note that this book is not just for public speaking and be advised that your life will change after reading the whole book.  No, I’m just kidding – but in theory, if you will take heed of the wisdom that the author mentioned in every chapter, in some ways, your perspective in life will shift to a better one.

There are people who do not like to be told. [I am aware that sometimes I tell people…, please forgive me]. If you have been in my inner circle lately, and you had been ignoring the pointers that I shared with you, this is your chance to indirectly listen to me.  Read what I am reading.  Take notes of good points and then meditate on key ideas and find time to execute some of the action items that are worth implementing to your own life.  One time, you asked me why all these bad things are happening to you.  Read p180-Chapter 29-Right Thinking and Personality.

”All that a man is, all his happiness, his sorrow, his achievements, his failures, his magnetism, his weakness, all are in an amazingly large measure the direct results of his thinking. Thought and heart combine to produce right thinking: "As a man thinketh in his heart so is he." As he does not think in his heart so he can never become. “

In p189,  Chapter 31-Making Conversation Effective, please read the conversation hints if you don’t have time to read the whole book.  I think it can also be applied to team meetings and blogging.

“ The first step in remedying habits of confusion in manner, awkward bearing, vagueness in thought, and lack
of precision in utterance, is to recognize your faults. If you are serenely unconscious of them, no one–least of
all yourself–can help you. But once diagnose your own weaknesses, and you can overcome them by doing
four things:
1. WILL to overcome them, and keep on willing.
2. Hold yourself in hand by assuring yourself that you know precisely what you ought to say. If you cannot do
that, be quiet until you are clear on this vital point.
3. Having thus assured yourself, cast out the fear of those who listen to you–they are only human and will
respect your words if you really have something to say and say it briefly, simply, and clearly.
4. Have the courage to study the English language until you are master of at least its simpler forms.

Conversational Hints
Choose some subject that will prove of general interest to the whole group. Do not explain the mechanism of a
gas engine at an afternoon tea or the culture of hollyhocks at a stag party. It is not considered good taste for a man to bare his arm in public and show scars or deformities. It is equally bad form for him to flaunt his own woes, or the deformity of some one else’s character

Loneliness: Help That Works; Day952; Dream

Don’t turn away from me. Don’t be angry with your servant. You are the only one who can help me. My God, don’t leave me all alone. You are my Savior. Even if my mother and father leave me, the Lord will take me in.

DREAM:
I was walking in a newly built highway in the middle of a thick forest.  The trees were freshly cut and people were still clearing the tall grass and cutting limbs of the trees.  I have to find a safe walkway around the pile of cut trees to get to my destination. After a long walk, I arrived in a nice park and was told that the activity will start soon [activity was not mentioned].  At the park, there was a van parked beside the building filled with all sorts of celebration cake.  There were so many trays of cake inside the van and people were playfully just throwing away pieces of cake to each other.  It was a very chaotic cake throwing activity and I kept yelling to people not to hit me with the flying pieces of cake because I was wearing a dark blue shirt and I  just don’t want any stains in my shirt.  At the end of the messy cake throwing celebration, they unloaded the van with more untouched trays of cake and just placed the excess whole piece of cake in the sidewalk.

Loneliness: Chosen One; Day951

You were in a faraway country, but I reached out to you. I called you from that faraway place. I said, ‘You are my servant.’ I chose you, and I have not rejected you. Don’t worry—I am with you. Don’t be afraid—I am your God. I will make you strong and help you. I will support you with my right hand that brings victory. I am the Lord your God, who holds your right hand. And I tell you, ‘Don’t be afraid! I will help you.’

Little Boy’s Explanation of God

Little Boy’s Explanation of God – Fabulous ! ! !
Out of the mouths of the Babes –
I certainly don’t think an adult could explain this more beautiful

THIS IS FABULOUS ! ! !

It was written by an 8- year old named Danny
Dutton, who lives in Chula Vista, CA. He wrote it
for his third grade homework assignment.
‘explain God. I wonder if any of us could have
done well?
(and he had such an assignment, in California, and some
published it, I guess miracles do happen!)

EXPLANATION OF GOD

‘One of God’s main jobs is making people. He makes
them to replace the others that die, so there will be
enough people to take care of things on earth. He
doesn’t make grownups, just babies. I think
because they are smaller and easier to make. That
way he doesn’t have to take up his valuable time
teaching them to talk and walk. He can just leave
that to mothers and fathers.’

‘God’s second most important job is listening to
prayers. An awful lot of this goes on, since some
people, like preachers and things, pray at times
beside bedtime. God doesn’t have time to listen to
the radio or TV because of this. Because he hears
everything, there must be a terrible lot of noise in
his ears, unless he has thought of a way to turn it off.’

‘God sees everything and hears everything and is
everywhere which keeps Him pretty busy. So you
shouldn’t go wasting his time by going over your
mom and dad’s head for something they
said you couldn’t have.’
‘Atheists are people who don’t believe in God. I
don’t think there are any in Chula Vista. At least
there aren’t any who come to our church.’

‘Jesus is God’s Son. He used to do all the hard
work, like walking on water and performing
miracles and trying to teach the people who didn’t
want to learn about God. They finally got tired of
him preaching to them and they crucified him. But
he was good and kind, like his father, and he told
his father that they didn’t know what they were
doing and to forget them and God said O.K.’
‘His dad(God) appreciated everything that he had
done and all his hard work on earth so he told him

he didn’t have to go out on the road anymore. He
could stay in heaven. So he did. And now he helps
his dad out by listening to prayers and seeing
things which are important for God to take care of
and which ones he can take care of himself
without having to bother God. Like a secretary,
only more important.’

‘You can pray anytime you want and they are sure
to help you because they got it worked out so one
of them is only on duty all the time.’
‘You should always go to church on Sunday
because it makes God happy, it’s God!
Don’t skip church to do something you think will
be more fun like going to the beach This is wrong.
And besides the sun doesn’t come out at the beach
until noon anyway.’

If you don’t believe in God, besides being an
atheist, you will be very lonely, because your
parents can’t go everywhere with you, like to
camp, but God can. It is good to know he’s around
you when you’re scared, in the dark or when you
can’t swim and you get thrown into real deep
water by big kids.’
‘But…you shouldn’t just always think of what God
can do for you. I figure God put me here and he
can take me back anytime he pleases.
And…that’s why I believe in God.!

( have an awesome day, and know that someone has thought
about you ! )

Vision of our Life

The vision of our life in the light of Jesus died and risen is an optimistic vision of hope and become
a commitment, a response to the calling in giving himself/herself in joy and praise projecting
towards immortality, << nor death celebrate you; those who go down to the pit can hope no longer
in your constancy. The living, the living are the ones who praise you as I do today >> (Is 38:18-19).
As St. Paul says: << to God we are the fragrance of Christ ….>>; the smell of life leading to life >>
( 2 Cor 2:15-16 ).

How can we bring today hope and trust in life between terror and pessimism, between indifference
and egoism? A tramp confide to a volunteer: <<One time people if not always, gave money, gave a
smile and greeted you; but now they don’t care at all not even a smile nor greet you >>.
Following the Gospel, born compassion and good heartedness which is not goodsome. Walking
on this way and donating ourselves to others, we bear witness that to be human is not voted to
annihilation nor to desperation.

Today’s philosophy speak to us the death of God, of the faint thought which seems that the world is
overcome by nothing – an entropy, the end of all. But we are the revelation of God, visible sign of
his presence and realization of his project. It’s not enough to live << biologically >>, but we need to
discover the secret of life. Many are living in death and giving to death. A life unfold one’s self on
his/her own personal wants and put it in the center as an idol, makes one’s self “ fragrance of death
for him/her and for others and does not permit to discover the secret of life. << For these last, the
smell of death, leading to death >> (2 Cor 2:16 ). Jesus said: << I am the life >> and following him
we will enter to the secret of life and bear witness.

One thing that count is the way to discover life that pass across our choices, decisions, answers
but also through sufferings. Giving birth to life also means to suffer. On the way to discover the
secret of life, we have a privilege means though it’s not the only way: prayer as an encounter is
an immersion in God of life, whatever might be the status of soul in a moment of distraction and
fragility. It is a consolation of the heart that invoke the Holy Spirit.

It is common today and easy to lose the sense of life. The wants to live and wants to go down from
the train and put the journey to an end. Beyond any psychology and pharmacology aspects, the
serenity can be recovered accepting who we are, appraising the precious gift of life and the beauty
to donate it to others despite all; we need to discover in prayer the communion presence with God,
the presence of God that lives in us and heals us, and helps us to overcome all our fears, pessimism,
lack of sense of life and our distrust.

Try to think:
• Is your life is synchronized with the life that Jesus indicate you to follow?
• Do you read your life as a calling to be a gift for others?
• Which bandage or tomb still closed and tied and impede you to be a fragrance of life for life?

Depression: Overflowing Hope, Joy and Peace; Day947

Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us. Those things were written so that we could have hope. That hope comes from the patience and encouragement that the Scriptures give us.

I pray that the God who gives hope will fill you with much joy and peace as you trust in him. Then you will have more and more hope, and it will flow out of you by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15 ERV

Today is the last day of my Bible study about depression. I do hope that the things I posted here had enlightened you in some ways.  I purposely did not make comments regarding the verses mentioned except for the title because I want you to see the Word of God from your own perspective.

I understand that depression or any mental illness is not a simple matter.  There is no magic pill available that can make the “monster in our head” go away.  But I have some good news for you, there is a true medicine out there that when taken seriously will magically eradicate any form of “unsoundness of the mind” and will replace it with hope, joy and peace.  I am not in the position of teaching you, but my experience with the medicine was real and I know that it will work for you too.  Please be open minded. You have nothing to lose.

I think most of us suffer from all sorts of mental disorder [mild or severe] [Transforming the Mind Notes p3]
image
We worry, we become scared, we obsess, we want our own ways, we want to win, we want to be the best, we want our ways, we want to be recognized, we want to be at the top, we don’t want to be put down, we don’t want to be the last person, we want to rule over people, we want to dominate, we want to have all the awards pointed/given to us, we want to be honored, we want to be the center of attention, we criticize, we complain, we compete, we compare, we generalize, we magnify situation, we predict the future, we raise the bar of perfection and we want others to be in lined to our standard and most of all we are not contented of what is given to us.

Last night, a person close to me [ Zebra2 ] told me that she is having a hard time dealing with her roommates and life in general.  I did not know the depths of her statement but I told her to tell me everything.  She hesitated at first but then later opened up.  She told me that she thinks she has anxiety and OCD.  I told her to give me an example of how she diagnosed herself.  To make the long story short… her examples fits to what she described as anxiety and OCD.  She was right.  She even told me that she needed to take an anger management class.  After an hour or so of deep conversation and mostly listening on my part, I realized that I need to do something more.  I trained and mentored this person so closely and I know that I gave her all the “life training’ she needed before she embarked on the journey of her own.  I shared to her about the insights of my faith and how I became what I am now but I did not fully disclosed everything because I know she just needed someone to listen to her.  I told her that I will help her go through her ordeal.  To Zebra2, please read.

As I was reading the devotional today [Romans 15], the idea of the cup of depression came to mind. The content of the cup was being transformed into hope, joy  and peace and were overflowing after having the Hope of Christ being poured into the cup.  Many of you probably are asking what am I talking about?  The picture mentioned above illustrates how a cup being filled with depression can be transformed to a cup filled with hope, joy and peace.  The medicine is the Hope of Christ.

My journey to the “overflowing cup” did not happen overnight.  Many years ago, I’ve tried Aikido, cycling, swimming, running, meditation, psychology books, self help books, mastered self discipline. I’ve tried friendship, relationship and company of people and solitude at times.  I’ve tried burying myself with work and trying to keep myself busy.  My life was empty as if there is something missing and I did not know what it was at that time. Nothing works.

But then things changed dramatically when I encountered Christ.  It was like being able to solve a huge jigsaw puzzle and when I placed the missing piece, the whole picture of my life showed up in one piece and the transformation started. From then on, I know I was in for a long journey of hope.   It was a process and I know it took several years for me to get my cup to an overflowing state.  At times, it was very low and I never thought it will never work.  But through the years with persistence and faithfulness of the Word of God, my cup started overflowing.   I am not going to tell you a detailed description of how you are going to transform your life, it is all up to you.  I want you to figure it out yourself so that your journey will be more meaningful in the end when you tell your own story. Each of us live differently, we have different jobs, family, friends, physical capability, situations and problems but the pattern of blessings and enlightenment leads only to one road- which is hope, joy and peace.  There is hope for your ordeal.

Short version to recovery:
1. Be born again.
2. Read and Study the Bible everyday [I recommend YOUVERSION – https://www.youversion.com/ ] they have reading plans. Download the app. Each morning, read a passage and meditate before you get out of bed.
3. Live/Apply the Bible Way of Life [if the Bible says Trust for example, then apply it to your life.]
4. Search for a Spirit filled church
5. Listen to Praise and Worship Music only. If you have access to Spotify, search for Hillsong Live
6. Learn to sing a song from your heart in Worship. [use tuneWiki in Spotify to sing along]

Before you go, I want you to view a glimpse of worship with the video called “God is Able”.  You will be delighted.  At minute 39, “The Awakening” is the song that I want you to listen.  I truly believe that when our soul is being awakened by the Spirit of God, those symptoms of having an “unsound mind” will not have a place in us.

Take courage – try something new!

DEPRSSION IN 7 DAYS:
Day01-Question to ask?

Why am I so sad?
Why am I so upset?
I tell myself, “Wait for God’s help! You will again be able to praise him, your God, the one who will save you.”
In my sadness I say, “I will remember you from here on this small hill, where Mount Hermon and the Jordan River meet.”
Psalms 42 ERV

Day02-What to do first?
Pray to the Lord, and he will hear you. He will save you from all your troubles. The Lord is close to those who have suffered disappointment. He saves those who are discouraged. Good people might have many problems, but the Lord will take them all away.
Psalms 34 ERV

Day03-Who can help?
I called to the Lord, and he heard me. He heard my cries. He lifted me out of the grave. He lifted me from that muddy place. He picked me up, put me on solid ground, and kept my feet from slipping. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see what he did and worship him. They will put their trust in the Lord.
Psalms 40 ERV

Day04-Your situation is not hopeless.
Lord my God, I prayed to you, and you healed me. Lord, you lifted me out of the grave. I was falling into the place of death, but you saved my life. Praise the Lord, you who are loyal to him! Praise his holy name!  His anger lasts for a little while, but then his kindness brings life. The night may be filled with tears, but in the morning we can sing for joy!
Psalms 30 ERV

Day05-The Helper
“I have told you all these things while I am with you. But the Helper will teach you everything and cause you to remember all that I told you. This Helper is the Holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name. “I leave you peace. It is my own peace I give you. I give you peace in a different way than the world does. So don’t be troubled. Don’t be afraid.
John 14 ERV

Day06- Constant Companion
Don’t worry—I am with you. Don’t be afraid—I am your God. I will make you strong and help you. I will support you with my right hand that brings victory. I am the Lord your God, who holds your right hand. And I tell you, ‘Don’t be afraid! I will help you.
Isaiah 41 ERV

Day07-Overflowing Hope, Joy And Peace
Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us. Those things were written so that we could have hope. That hope comes from the patience and encouragement that the Scriptures give us.

I pray that the God who gives hope will fill you with much joy and peace as you trust in him. Then you will have more and more hope, and it will flow out of you by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Can’t Stop Praising

s

Try to find the words to express the way You are
But the beauty of the Lord
Can not be described
In just one lifetime
Look at the sun over the seas
Look at Your grace that covers me

Now I know, yes I know
Now I know, I know
Your love has saved me

In the morning
I can’t stop praising Your Name
In the evening
I can’t stop praising Your Name

In the morning
I can’t stop praising Your Name
In the evening, I can’t stop

And I want you to know
Yes, I want you to know, oh yes I
And I want you to know
Yes, I want you to know

Lord You’re so amazing
Every word You say is true
Better than the finest treasure
So glad that I found You
You held me close when I was down
Your world has turned my world around

Now I know, yes I know
Now I know, I know
How much I love you

Hallelujah, we praise Your Name
We praise Your Name
