Delete Heart Hardiness; Day537

Blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied) is the man who reverently and worshipfully fears [the Lord] at all times [regardless of circumstances], but he who hardens his heart will fall into calamity. Pro 28:14

Heart Hardiness – Just Being Stubborn [unreasonably unyielding]
During my early walk with Christ, I noticed the pattern of stubbornness in me – meaning when the Bible says so [a command] I disobeyed; sometimes I put my feet right on the line or sometimes cross over it.  Some people call it “trying to” but simply put – it is by definition called ‘disobedience’.  In the military term, it is called “disobeying a direct order”.  When we start with a new life in Christ, we are given the gift of the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit dwells in us and give us an internal direction of what to do or say or act.  Some people call it conscience telling us to do the right thing or say the right word [it is the Holy Spirit directing us in every way].  When we are told to do something that is right, our best choice is obedience.

Some examples of commands that must be followed:
1. Love God
2. Love your neighbor
3. Read/Understand/Do the Bible
4. Do not get drunk with wine
5. Tame your tongue – Say nice words
6. Have self-control
7. Have perseverance
8. Endure hardship
9. Have patience
10. Pray
11. Meditate on the Word
12. Listen to God when He whispers into your heart
13. Rejoice in hard situation [your patience is being trained]
14. Spend your time wisely

There a secret!  We don’t have to memorize the list mentioned above.  The Holy Spirit will let us know.
