Health Report At 4800 Hours Uptime

I’ve been alive now for 4800 hours and it feels good.  The first hour is still so vivid to me.  I can still feel my first day at work, it was like a walk in space where I did not really know if I will be able to last for 12 hours.  Here’s my Mind Map MI Recovery

Not too many of you know of what happened to me last December 22 of 2008. I had a myocardial infarction (just google it if you don’t know) after being so active for years in cycling and swimming and being careful with what I put into my mouth.  I’ve been looking for answers why I had an MI (in the physical aspect) but if you look at my health data and my exercise log and my family history, none of those indicators points towards MI.  So I give up in looking for physical answers of the incident and moved to a spiritual aspect of it or shall I call it non-physical reasons.  Even my cardiologist could not give me a straight answer why.

Non-Physical Reasons:
1. Serve as a warning to the world that heart disease is real (even with active people) (#1 Killer in the US)
2. If it happens to the guy that exercise and eat healthy, it can happen to those that don’t
3. Example to the world that one can recover from MI and live happily ever after (I hope so)

Summary of activities at Day200 (since December 22, 2008)

I am sharing these information to all of you so that you can take a positive action towards a better health.  We cannot be complacent anymore towards health. Do something healthy for your body.  I only give myself 24 hours, my view in life is now different and I don’t trust my body anymore and I am not even sure if I have extra days left here on earth ….  but before I leave town, I just want to make sure that I am able to share with you my ordeal so that you too will be able to reflect and learn.

If you don’t know your cholesterol, HDL, LDL counts, please go to your family doctor and request a comprehensive physical exam.  These parameters are good indicators for heart disease and not knowing those numbers is putting you at false security that you are healthy because you are just feeling normal.  Also, if you can’t run 1 mile in 12 minutes, you really need to do something ;-()
