DIY: Poor Man’s iPhone, iPad Mini Charger, Router 12v Power

Problem:
1. Power banks made by professionals [view list] are expensive and not very flexible in terms of functionality. They looked nice and have an impressive specs but it does not really serve my greater purpose:
a. to power my ham radio during disaster,
b. to provide LED lighting for 3 days to be charged using my car battery when I travel or mobile
c. to charge my smartphone
d. to power my mesh network router
e. to revive a non-functional old UPS back to life
f. to provide an alternative way to charge an iPhone or iPad mini when there is no power available [this is a future solar kit project]

Step By Step:
1. Purchase/Get/Salvage the following
2 pcs. sealed lead acid battery
smartphone car charger
12v car outlet
binding post
wire
connectors [i’m reusing an old 4-pin molex connector from a pc power supply to provide quick disconnect]
a sealed lead acid battery charger if you are not using an old UPS to charge the battery

2. Assemble the parts as shown
3. End
