Remembering You!

Dear Ate,
I did not realize how close we were when we were kids. These days, I have plenty of time contemplating about life and retirement and it so happen that when I tried to bring back my younger years, I remembered that we were staying together for 20 years or so. We shared the same kitchen and dinner table all those years.

Brittney and Brent are the same way and it seems that school life and personal goals starts to separate them apart. There are no more kids in the house. The same thing that happened to our family will also happen to our kids. They too will get busy with their own endeavors, therefore the gap begins to unfold.

Being unknown/distant to each other can be a good thing also – it creates an excitement on our part. I’m always excited and curious about you because of all the close people I have in my circle, you are the least to say random things.

I don’t call or email very often but I want you and everyone else at home to know that my heart belongs to my home and family. One day I will spend more time with everyone back home. I do miss home a lot (everyday) but I have to take care of some things here for now. Once the kids life are fully autonomous and self sustaining, then I will pack my bags and come home. It’s different to live in a country other than your own. I would say, despite the economic situations, calamities and infrastructure in our place, I’m still determined to spend my retirement in the tiny island.

How are you these days?

I just wanted to say happy birthday. I have to use a calculator to get it right.
2014 – 1964 = ? I’ll leave it blank for now.

Regarding my health,( i know that you are going to ask), I’m fine and healthy. Please read my field report below, it determines the full status of my heart function. My cardiologist ordered me to delete my Effient medication a week ago and I hope that the change will not affect my health equilibrium. My cholesterol report came back last week but the nurse failed to say the exact #, she just told me that my cardiologist’s advice after seeing the results – “keep doing what I’m doing”. Anyway, short report – I am healthy as I can be.

I dislike to say “stay healthy” since you are the one that went to medical school. I do hope that you too is taking care of your body.
