The Call; Day206

Mat 4:19  And He said to them, Come after Me [as disciples–letting Me be your Guide], follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men!

The significance of following Christ is the guidance that He promised.  He becomes the light of our path and guide us unto our next step.  There were so many instances in my personal experience that I am overwhelmed of something or not being able to decide what to do next and then all of a sudden, there is this small voice inside me whispering what to do or what to say…. that is one of the guidance system that He mentioned here.  Another thing is the call of becoming a fishers of men.  What does it mean by “fishers of men”? This is the calling of every breathing Christian believers– to spread the Good News? What is the Good News?  The Good News is Christ died for us and He rose again, to be with us in a Spirit form.  Why is that Good News? Because there is power in His resurrection …. His Holy Spirit dwells in us, inspires us to do greater things, accomplish greater things.  What kind of power? Many….I haven’t discovered (all) yet and that is why I am on this journey.  Join with me. If you are reading this, you are one of the fish that He wants to catch and that makes you special.  He was looking for you for a long time trying to get your attention.
