Solution-downgraded from Win7 to Vista and then ran Acronis imaging for the next crash.  Found a recall from HP [link]
2000, Reading: Sharepoint2007 Unleashed p116 [need to migrate to MOSS soon] just for learning purposes. A good training for W2008, SQL2005 and Moss.  Learned that the Data View is Sharepoint Designer 2007 application [free download from ms] is useful to create/design customized data queries.
