Hyper-V Server +Sharepoint2010 [download software] [info] [Documentation]
After 2 weeks of testing the free version of Windows 2008 Hyper-V server; conclusion-very good and stable OS although the GUI-less configuration was a little bit of a challenge.  The basic things needed are the following:
1. A x64 hardware the supports Hyper-V
2. Lots of memory [this box had 8GB]
3. Large hard drive
