Completely Satisfied; Day059; HSMM-MESH Network

Blessed and fortunate and happy and spiritually prosperous (in that state in which the born-again child of God enjoys His favor and salvation) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), for they shall be completely satisfied! [Isa. 55:1, 2.]  Matthew 5:6

To some people, when they discover something interesting, they write a book about it.  Well today, I want to save you some money – this is free of charge.
“How to be completely satisfied in life?” Answer: Don’t just do the right thing, thirst for it.  Keep looking for righteousness.  Ask yourself “the question” every time you do something or make a decision.  There are two category of things that we do in life, one is ‘”right” and the other is “wrong” – that simple and there is no half right or wrong.
Examples:
1. Treat people with gentleness, that is the right thing to do.
2. Don’t verbally abuse a co-worker, that is the right thing.
3. What about, saying hello to your spouse upon arrival.
4. Doing your job at work instead of wasting company’s money.
5. What about being totally honest to your husband or wife.
6. What about eating right and exercising
7. Doing chores at home before being told
8. Doing your homework on time before your parents tell you
9. Taking responsibility and taking ownership
10. What about listening good instead of talking.

I came across some interesting projects.

Barnes on Mat 5:6 –
Blessed are they which do hunger … – Hunger and thirst, here, are expressive of strong desire. Nothing would better express the strong desire which we ought to feel to obtain righteousness than hunger and thirst. No needs are so keen, none so imperiously demand supply, as these. They occur daily, and when long continued, as in case of those shipwrecked, and doomed to wander months or years over burning sands, with scarcely any drink or food, nothing is more distressing. An ardent desire for anything is often represented in the Scriptures by hunger and thirst, Psa_42:1-2; Psa_63:1-2. A desire for the blessings of pardon and peace; a deep sense of sin, and want, and wretchedness, is also represented by thirsting, Isa_55:1-2.

They shall be filled
– They shall be satisfied as a hungry man is when supplied with food, or a thirsty man when supplied with drink. Those who are perishing for want of righteousness; those who feel that they are lost sinners and strongly desire to be holy, shall be thus satisfied. Never was there a desire to be holy which God was not willing to gratify, and the gospel of Christ has made provision to satisfy all who truly desire to be holy. See Isa_55:1-3; Isa_65:13; Joh_4:14; Joh_6:35; Joh_7:37-38; Psa_17:15.
