Firm Foundation; Day502

But the firm foundation of (laid by) God stands, sure and unshaken, bearing this seal (inscription): The Lord knows those who are His, and, Let everyone who names [himself by] the name of the Lord give up all iniquity and stand aloof from it. [Num. 16:5; Isa. 26:13.] 2Ti 2:19

0515hours: Last night, I came across a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt "Do one thing every day that scares you." I did not like the term ‘scare’ so I substituted the word with ‘challenge’.  The word challenge is not a stranger to my vocabulary anymore ever since I came across the most dreadful time of my life [close to death].  I think for most of my remaining days I will be spending a life filled with challenges. A few weeks ago, I started a new swimming challenge – a 25 yard [1 pool length @ 1 breath] sub surface swim.  At first, I could only cover 20 yards but the more I practiced every week, the 25 yards became easier.

My 10-day vacation ended yesterday. I had so many vacation days that I have to take 40 hours of vacation so that my PTO will not be forfeited.  I think that was the best vacation ever – I don’t have to travel and I’ve accomplished a lot of household work and other work projects and still able to go out cycling and swimming and running.

About the word today,  simply put.  What is your life based on?  What are your standards? If you are in the middle of a confusing and critical decision making, what will be your choice?  When these questions arises to me, I normally answer – check the Bible and base your decision from what the Word implies to whatever you are asking.

1916hours: Back to work today from a long 10-day forced vacation.  Asked what I did on my vacation?  I replied “working hard” and told them that I am more relaxed here at work that on vacation.  Why? Because during my vacation, I normally have plenty of time to spare riding the bike or swimming or doing household chores.
