If divorced, there is no condemnation-get back on track.
Marriage is designed to be 100% successful.
Do you have the right one in your life? The answer is yes.
It is God’s will that you are married to him/her.
Keys to a Happy/Lasting Marriage
1. Take care of body
2. Take care of your spirit [don’t be concern with the other person]
3. Take care of your mind
3. Do not blame the other person.
4. Look at yourself first before pointing to your spouse
5. Walk Right/Do Right/Say Right
10 Critical Marriage Questions:
1. Did you prepare properly in your marriage?
How much counseling you received before marriage?
Puppy love does not work-it will fade away over time
Two people are two different people [they are not alike]
Living with "unlike" people is not easy.
Spouse-be prepared that he/she cannot give you everything
There is a real big difference between MAN and WOMAN
Count the cost when committing to marriage. Then pay the price
Count the cost so that you can finish [marriage is bound to last]
Marriage is like learning how to drive a car-You have to learn every step
2. Did you ever experience divorce in your life?
Have you seen a separation in your family?
Separation is painful and contagious
Examples of failure will follow the path of failure
Fear predicts the future-If you fear it, then it will happen
3. Did you sleep together before marriage?
Violation of God’s Commandments
You setup your marriage to fail
Blessings are gone
Needs restoration
Women live for security
Men live for benefit
4. Did you ever have a strong spiritual relationship together?
Strong devotion to God together
Window of Prayer-open it up
5. Is there someone around you getting a divorce?
Divorce is a sickness-very contagious
Epidemic-stay away
6. Is the marriage filled with constant negativity and disappointment?
When you complain – it’s about you
When you criticize- it’s about the other person
Complain a few
Avoid criticism-this kills relationship
7. Are you holding on to a big disappointment?
Be not sinful in your anger
Diffuse your anger right away
Anger when kept will turn to disappointments
Release your anger ASAP
8. Have you ever blamed your spouse?
Blame game-the other spouse
Look to yourself first
Don’t shift the blame to the other person
9. Have you ever been thinking/contemplating other scenario?
Are you reconnecting with someone? Email/FB/Phone/Text
Are you being tempted?
Are you thinking of leaving the relationship?
10. Why did you get married?
Are you renting?
Are you owning?
Marriage is about ownership
You just can’t break the contract
When you own something-it costs you so much
You are willing to pay the price
Renters don’t last
Owners last forever
Owners
They sacrifice
Save everything you can
You think twice before leaving
Divorce is violent to the nation
Divorce is violent to the children
Divorce is violent to the immediate family
Divorce hurts
Marriage is a covenant between two people who are so committed to each other no matter how big the problem they face.
Marriage is a covenant between you, your spouse and God.
