Darkness Over Light; Day633; Failure=Motivation

The [basis of the] judgment (indictment, the test by which men are judged, the ground for the sentence) lies in this: the Light has come into the world, and people have loved the darkness rather than and more than the Light, for their works (deeds) were evil. [Isa. 5:20.] John 3:19

Darkness Over Light
I’ve talked to people who is currently facing difficulties in life and explained to them the way out from the dark tunnel where they can see the light.  They can literally see the light and all they have to do is carry that light with them as they exit the dark tunnel.  Majority of those people I’ve told will never hesitate to ignore the light.  They choose darkness over light.

Failure=Motivation
Key Points:
1. When you fail, you examine the failure point thoroughly and learn in the process.
2.. When you fail, you look for other ways to get around the failure, therefore you become creative and innovative.
3. Failure is success upside down.
4. When you fail, there is no other way around but success.
5. When you fail, who said you cannot try one more time.
6. Failure keeps us on alert and have a sense of urgency.
7. Failure drives us to do more +look for more
8. Failure is just a component level [just a portion of a system and not the entire system]. Life goes onward!
examples:
Engine failure
Heart failure
Brake failure
Relationship failure
Health failure
Failure to open
Failure to launch
Failure to pass the exam
Failure to communicate
Failure to continue
9. What will you do after you successfully climb the highest mountain? Ans. Climb another mountain.
10. What will you do when you failed to climb the highest mountain? Ans. Try again and die trying.  Don’t give up!
DON’T QUIT!

Barnes on John 3:19 –
This is the condemnation – This is the cause of condemnation; or this is the reason why men are punished.
That light is come – Light often denotes instruction, teaching, doctrine, as that by which we see clearly the path of duty. all the instruction that God gives us by conscience, reason, or revelation may thus be called light; but this word is used especially to denote the Messiah or the Christ, who is often spoken of as “the light.” See Isa_60:1; Isa_9:2. Compare Mat_4:16; also the notes at Joh_1:4. It was doubtless this light to which Jesus had particular reference here.
Men loved darkness – Darkness is the emblem of ignorance, iniquity, error, superstition – whatever is opposite to truth and piety. Men are said to love darkness more than they do light when they are better pleased with error than truth, with sin than holiness, with Belial than Christ.
Because their deeds are evil – Men who commit crime commonly choose to do it in the night, so as to escape detection. So men who are wicked prefer false doctrine and error to the truth. Thus the Pharisees cloaked their crimes under the errors of their system; and, amid their false doctrines and superstitions, they attempted to convince others that they had great zeal for God.
Deeds – Works; actions.
