One Source, One Strength, One Truth

“You accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, so continue to live following him. You must depend on Christ only, drawing life and strength from him. Just as you were taught the truth, continue to grow stronger in your understanding of it. And never stop giving thanks to God.” Colossians 2:6, 7 ERV
“Depend-be contingent upon; have faith or confidence in”
“Draw-get or derive in mind”
“Only-and nothing more; without any other being included or involved”
Life sometimes become much simpler if we only have one choice. Having too many choices in front of us can take out the decision making to a slower pace and confusion. When it comes to a handbook for life, don’t mix anything other than your faith in Christ.
Sometimes we mix our personal foundation with many other things such as philosophy, religion, science, medicine, psychology, humanitarian etc. There ought to be one source that we draw upon, but sometimes we are clouded by the invitation of “the others” on how to live our life abundantly.
I am aware that the other sources just work as well but in the long run, when we are at end of our time here on earth, we loses those material things and its benefits and then we realize ” oh, I need to find my faith in Christ.
