no relief aid arriving in Merida yet. [65 miles from Tacloban]
no electricity restoration in motion, rumor might take 6 months to repair. 
severe infrastructure damage to the whole 100Mile radius of the disaster area.
cellphone communication is now open but no internet.
able to call to Leyte anytime now.

Hyades brought a 5kva generator from Cebu
food source: rice and sardines/ corned beef, dried fish, atsara [aged papaya fruit]
damage to our house is severe but fixable.
people are taking shelter at public school buildings
Dayline’s water filtration is up an running with the AC generator – but today, no water supply.
ricemill is still down with no electricity, they have 77 sacks of unmilled rice
mother looking for a mechanic to repair diesel engine to power the rice mill. [this will solve the rice supply in Merida]
mother very talkative and able to talk with longer sentences-meaning breathing is ok.  She has COPD.
had a 46minutes conversation with mom and Bebs
mother will be staying in Merida for the recovery.  Instructed to relocate to Cebu if breathing becomes difficult.
ac generator supplying power to oxygen concentrator at night from 7p to 12midnight.  Turned off at midnight due to noise.
ac generator consumes 1 liter/hour.  Diesel fuel is very limited.   They have to get the supply from Ormoc which is 28km from Merida. 
long lines at the gas station in Ormoc, they had to wait for 3 hours to get a ration fuel.
the whole world is helping.  Relief effort is seen in motion. 
i stopped eating dinner beginning yesterday, i’m trying to simulate starvation survival here in the U.S.

Priorities:
1. Minimize accidents and health risks
2. Eat/drink conservatively.
3. Share resources to the needy.
4. Find a way to repair the rice mill diesel engine
5. Find out why water supply was interrupted
6. Start house cleanup process, sort what needs to keep and throw away.
