Meaningful Life = Happiness
I stumbled upon the answer to happiness and how to be happy. The simple answer is “living a meaningful life”. Doing what is meaningful and you will find true happiness.
Although it sounds simplistic, the entire happiness workflow is a complex process. Complex in a sense that there is no definite outcome of the endeavor due to so many variables in play. As I mentioned earlier, find meaning in what you do, and you will find happiness. To find meaning, you have to take responsibility, to find responsibility, you have to find your functions and the purpose of your existence, to find functions/purpose, you have to know your skills and the resources you have. Once you do that, you then execute (do it and not just think about it).
You = Resources, Skill and Tools
Your functions/purpose
Your responsibilities
Meaningful Life
Happiness
It’s Day002 in retirement and it is too early to tell or report of any success or failure. What I’m going to do now on is open my eyes and ears and find out what is it that I want to do from here and onwards. The options are many but I know that I have to focus on what matters to me and my wife.
First thing is opening up my journal again. There are many friends around my world (Austin, Round Rock, Cebu, Merida) who are “curious human beings”. I personally do not like explaining to people what I do, or showing you what I’m doing every time something happens. I dislike the spotlight and I dislike answering questions. Many of my friends are always questioning “what’s up”, “how things are going?”, “what is my next move?”, “are you going back to work?”, “what about your investment?”, “what about the KantreKlab?”, what about Samsung contract work?” etc. My phone will be on “ringer-off”, no notification and I will not be checking messages (as always).
But I will update my journal from time to time and the reason is I don’t want to explain/tell to anybody my whole life story. If you are in my inner circle and would like to peek, you have to read my journal. I am writing my journal here in WordPress because I know that I needed to share some stuff to the world as part of my mission in life which is “make this world a better place” with my personal contribution. I still don’t know what that contribution is but surely, if you are curious enough, you can piece together the puzzle. To the KantreKlab members, I’m still contemplating on what to share. I will call you in 10 years time and see how your investments are doing.
