Power of Vulnerability, Brene Brown
Connection – the ability to feel connected, why you are here, purpose in life
When you ask people about love, they tell you their heartbreak
When you ask people about belongingness, they tell you about separation
When you ask people about connection, they tell you about disconnection

Barriers of connection = Shame and Fear (fear of disconnection)
"uNvulnerability, if there is something about me that they see, I won’t be worthy of their connection"
Everyone feels shame unless you have no emotion
Shame = "I’m not good enough"; "I’m not worthy enough"
vulnerability = we have to allow ourselves to be seen and defenseless
sense of worthiness
sense of love and belonging
fear that we are not worthy of connection
wholehearted, sense of courage:
tell the story of your life with your whole heart
the courage to be imperfect
the compassion to be kind to themselves first then to others
have a connection to people because you are authentic
willingness to let go of who they should be

fully embrace vulnerability
are you willing to say I love you first?
are you willing to say/do something with no guarantees?
are you willing to invest in a relationship that may or may not workout?

Wholehearted = unconditional and enthusiastic devotion, sincere
Vulnerability = defenseless, open, unsafe, insecure, susceptible to criticism, persuasion and temptation
Let ourselves be seen, deeply seen
to love with our whole heart even if there is no guarantee
to practice gratitude and joy in the moment of terror
