2013 Objectives [not Resolutions]

Resolution or Objectives?

Definition:
Resolution-A decision to do something or to behave in a certain manner
ObjectiveThe goal intended to be attained (and which is believed to be attainable)

I called my list as Objectives [not resolutions] – meaning – that these are just my intentions for 2013.  I am not really deciding by heart that I will really do it, so no pressure on my part.  I’ve done this last year also and the outcome was very positive.  Another concept about “objectives” is “segmentation” from TRIZ40 .  By diving the whole into smaller parts, the task become easily manageable and therefore easier to attain.  During wartime, in order for a nation to win the war, a nation must win smaller battles.  To win smaller battles, soldiers need to attain objectives.  Those objectives are smaller/simpler tasks generated from the highest level of the chain of command ie. capture the hill, secure the bridge, establish presence or build a support depot or establish a landing zone etc.

If we apply the same principle to our lives using smaller objectives-anything is possible.

Why don’t you try it.
