Principle: Partnership Requires One Mind

“Brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, I beg all of you to agree with each other. You should not be divided into different groups. Be completely joined together again with the same kind of thinking and the same purpose.” 1 Corinthians 1:10 ERV
“Agree-be in accord, be in agreement; be similar and consistent; coincide in characteristics; go well together; achieve harmony of opinion.”
One of the best indicator that our endeavor or project or our partnership or our relationship or our marriage will fail is the presence of constant disagreement. Occasional conflict is fine but when faced with daily arguments, disagreements, feelings not lined up or conflict of discernment or not seeing the same reality, then the partnership is headed for an upcoming disintegration. It will break and evolve into something else.
We cannot prevent all catastrophic partnership failures but we can mend some — especially if the partnership started in a strong bond and superb foundation. Partnership requires a base foundation of trust, respect, submission and bending of minds. These are the bedrocks of a solid relationship. Add the essence of time to it and you will have a concrete structure of a lasting partnership.
To Brittney and Brent, may you guys establish these foundation early as you travel towards building your own family and career and circle of friends.
