Avoid Self-Centeredness; Day371

He must increase, but I must decrease. [He must grow more prominent; I must grow less so.] [Isa. 9:7.] .  John 3:30

Most of the reason why a team/relationship fails is one party is more  dominant than the other.  Always commanding the word “Look at me”, “it is my decision”, “because I said so”., “let me do it myself”.  When you hear these phrases dominantly in a relationship, the relationship is bound to fail.  But when you hear humility and patience and sharing of burdens and ideas, the team is bound for success.  Grow less of yourself and let others be/God be.

What Is Good; Day370

The Lord will give what is good; and our land will give its increase. Psalm 85:12

In some form or another, sometimes we encounter a friend who is in need of something, may it be physical or emotional needs.  There are times that days and weeks and even months come and nothing happens.  And then there are times that the good days are truly gone and more and more misfortune coming than a blessing and sometimes you feel that the world is really at the very end of its existence.. I am thankful that I have my basic needs given to me and to my family plus the extra stuff that is more than we need. But when I encounter a friend who is in so much struggle, sometimes I am speechless and heartbroken.  The other day, I sat in front of him for hours just listening to what he has to say about his life, his struggles with the wife, his provision, his survival and then his health problems. I always wanted to encourage him but it seems like nothing is really happening to ease up his side.

But today is a different day. I received a new Word “The Lord will give what is good”. May these verse carry me and my friend to a better  outlook in life.  Although we do not see the future, anything from Him has  good intentions [fortune or misfortune] and it is up to us to find it.

To a dear friend – the Lord will give what is good.

Best Reference Book; Day368; MESH Network Test Completed

The law of the Lord is good, giving new life to the soul: the witness of the Lord is certain, giving wisdom to the foolish. Psa 19:7

I was helping a friend find answers to his psychological problems and found myself so helpless because I did not have the right knowledge on what to say and counsel.  I read 1 book which explained clearly on the topic about  the mind [Transforming The Mind] and how it works and received some enlightenment.  The other book [When Panic Attacks] explained about how to combat anxiety and panic attacks.  Also a year ago, I finished reading a book about leadership [21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership] and also gained some insights regarding the subject.  But right after finishing the last book , these words came  in through my daily devotional – ‘”My Words are Sufficient ”.  I was puzzled at first as to why it was presented that way and then later on it was revealed to me that sometimes the answers are not there. It is good to read all the “other reference book” but the real answers can be found only in “The Book”.

Lesson Learned: Try the Bible first before looking somewhere else.  Topics like leadership, patience, endurance, family life, conduct, kindness, humility, anger, worries, finances, health etc.. -  the answers are all in there.

Last night I was finishing up cc’s computer workstation for her new apartment at UT San Antonio and I have one problem to solve – how to connect a non-wireless pc without a wireless card – the solution was a HSMM-MESH.  This project was at the bottom of my list because the motivation was very low.  We have wireless anywhere in America and there is really no need of a MESH network here.  But when you consider a rural area like Merida [my home town in the Philippines and future retirement place] it makes you wonder all the possibilities of having a low cost HSMM-MESH network implementation.

HSMM-MESH Requirements:
1. Internet Connection [if planning to provide internet connectivity in the MESH]
2. WRT54G Linksys Routers [rooted with a new firmware]
3. 12V power supply
4. Outdoor Omni Antenna at each location

Love=Peace; Day365; A Year After Stent#2

This is the law I give you: Have love one for another, even as I have love for you. Joh 15:12

Love is a strong affection and personal attachment.
Love is a virtue representing all of human kindness, compassion and affection
Love is the reason why we do things
Love is a major driver to our success, without it, there will be not much encouragement towards the objective
Love is a gift given to us from above, it is a result of God’s mercy on us.
Love was placed in our heart, you cannot teach yourself how to love [because it was already there ever since]
So why people hate instead of love? When we lost contact to the Holy Spirit, that is the time when we veered off away from love.
Why stick with Love? because Love=Peace

Day0014 in CMPLSI yesterday and in the middle of my medicine application for the head sequence problems, an undesirable effect [UDE] showed up in the cuCMP and the questions was asked “What was a biggest change?”.  People were silent and not much conversation after that.  Team was hesitant to even mentioned that I am now at 60% of the sequence rollout that fixes the lingering head errors in CMP.  In the middle of silence, I mentioned that the only biggest change in CuCMP is – there is not much “retries” anymore and the rollout is about 60% complete.  All of a sudden, the brainstorm shifted and focused to head sequence.  Fast forward, I almost spent my day trying to undo r08 and t04 back to pre v2011 version.  After hours of testing, the results were inconclusive as to the v2011 sequence was a contributor to the problem.  Lesson learned: Stay with what you know, don’t allow a situation to control a fully researched actions.  Yes, there are changepoint and you are one of the changepoint but it does not mean that there are no other UDE contributor. Like a rock, stay put in times flooding.

Day0005 [start date: 20110627] with Gina Go in Samsung CMP Flash.  She is learning quickly as she has been flooded with information everyday.  Eager to learn and with the right people surrounding her, she will be a great contributor to TeamCMP. Two birds and one stone – 1. she has now a stable job 2. TeamCMP will become a stronger team.

Day0365, Today from last year, I had my cardiac stent#2.  Nothing to report except that I am still alive.  I will continue counting until the end.

Desire Wisdom; Day364

For the Lord gives wisdom; out of his mouth come knowledge and reason: Pro 2:6

Wisdom
Wisdom is more than knowledge.
Wisdom – God is 3 steps ahead of us.  When you do something at the current step and not realizing what it is currently and  then in the few steps after, you learned that it was a brilliant idea.
Wisdom – taking the right step in a confusing situation without analytical, scientific and mathematical theories.
Wisdom – a correct understanding of understanding
Wisdom – cannot be invented, it is God’s thoughts given through us
Wisdom – walking in the footprint of someone who previously walked through the path
Wisdom – unfathomable amount of applied knowledge
Wisdom – when human being finds a logical and analytical explanation, we call it scientific or an invention ie. electricity, communication, flight in space, cure of a disease, Wisdom – hard to explain scientifically
Wisdom – listening to God and executing His instructions without questions or hesitations and not relying our own reasons and knowledge.

Hungry, Thirsty; Stranger; Day362

For I was in need of food, and you gave it to me: I was in need of drink, and you gave it to me: I was wandering, and you took me in; Mat 25:35

When accommodating someone near our presence, the treatment that we give to those whom we know is different compared to the one that is a stranger to us.  To care for somebody who are close to us is an easy task because we see them daily and sometimes  they rewards us with something.  When we treat a total stranger in a special way, there is no way for them to pay us in return, hence there is no underlying gratification that is coming.  A stranger don’t normally has the ability to give back to us.  When you do something good to a stranger, you are expecting nothing in return. The stranger symbolizes not just the physical person but those who are a stranger “spiritually”.  Reach out to those who are wandering in the world, those that are lost, those that are not in your circle of friends and  those that you don’t even see.  Doing so fulfills your duty as God’s servant for your hands is His Hands and your mouth is His mouth. Be totally used for His Kingdom – not just to the people you know.

Living The Life; Day359; Day0012

But you are not living the life of the flesh, you are living the life of the Spirit, if the [Holy] Spirit of God [really] dwells within you [directs and controls you]. But if anyone does not possess the [Holy] Spirit of Christ, he is none of His [he does not belong to Christ, is not truly a child of God]. [Rom. 8:14.] Rom 8:9

We struggle sometimes on how to keep our mind and heart and mouth straight. We are human beings – being in the flesh; and sometimes there are temptations that comes our way that sometimes pushes our walk with God to the side. Many instances that we realize that what we did or what we said was not right. Then we start to keep things right again by drawing a line – “I will never say that again” or “I will never do that again” then in a few days we repeat the cycle.  In reality, those personal rules and guidelines does not work.  We can discipline ourselves to perform a specific rule but that method can only go on for sometime [not forever].  So how can we really become a “near perfect person’”? The true answer is – live the life in Spirit of Christ.  No rules – just plain living in the Spirit.

Day0012 in CMPSLI yesterday and the progress for the cure of the major problems in CMP is around 50%.  Finding the solution took a while due to a different scenario in cuCMP. Experience taught me a lot of things but  finding the solution to the “unload retry” problems were just a pure Wisdom from God.  I’ve used several problem solving techniques – brainstorm, FMEA, Fishbone.  Those tool were of great help but did not really complete the puzzle.  It was the whisper of the Holy Spirit that showed me on where to tweak a certain parameter to fix the problem. To God be the glory!

Faithful and Wise Steward; Day358

And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful steward, the wise man whom his master will set over those in his household service to supply them their allowance of food at the appointed time?  Luk 12:42

Steward/Servant-one that serves others <a public servant>; especially: one that performs duties about the person or home of a master or personal employer.

I went  for a 1 mile yesterday and everything was normal except that my left chest has a tingling pain enough to get my attention.  Somehow being a cardiac patient is a good thing.  Thinking as as one makes you feel and appreciate life on every heartbeat.  I wake up this morning with a heavy heart. and needed a jolt of a latte just to keep going.  I am not worried nor afraid of death but sometimes it bothers me thinking that I have a “not so perfect heart pump” inside me. When I opened today’s devotional, the words encouraged me the more to keep hoping even when there is no physical hope.  Be faithful in serving others and there is no need to worry about  provisions.  God will provide in His timetable – even for just another extra heartbeat.

Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil. Eph 5:16

MIT (Most Important Task)
1. 1Mile Swim

3. FMEA-LK System

Life is too short for Jan.  Unable to regain consciousness for 2 days and no brain activities noted from the EEG test, Somehow, those were the last days of  a distant friend. Distant yet so near because we shared the same mindset whenever we are in the swimming pool pacing each other until our specific workout is completed.

How do I remember her?
1. I guessed her name at the pool when I introduced myself after our workout. “Are you Jan?, she looked at me and then she just started talking…. you must be Britta’s husband.
2. Her long steady stroke.
3. Her subtle quick but short kicks
4. Her yellow paddle smashing efficiently on every stroke
5. Her flip turns are quick [she gains 1 sec when I’m tailing her]

Commitment to God; Day346; Jan In Life Support

Britta came home today with a very sad message.  Her co-worker [my swim friend] Jan was found unconscious this morning at home after she failed to report to work last night. Had very light pulse and not breathing.  She had to be coded 8x. Currently she in life support, breathing indicated by the rise and fall of her chest and heart rate at 78 bpm as shown in the machine.

I don’t know much about Jan personally but in the pool, we know each other very well.  She is the girl that swims for 90 minutes non-stop at a very high pace.  I’ve raced with her several times side by side but somehow, her light built made her so buoyant and fast in the water that I could never keep up her pace. I do a 2.4 mile swim when I’m in the pool but this girl outlasted me every time she workout.  I am still believing for a miracle for her.  that despite all the “no brain activities” during the EEG test that somehow she is just recuperating internally.  There’s a few long distance and endurance swimmer at Clay Madsen, in fact, she is the only one that I know that do more than 2.4 miles.  She is fit and I know that her heart is strong.

Lord, I know in the physical world, all points to the very close end of her life.  Doctors are nodding their head, and machine indicators showing a very negative outlook of her survivability, but despite of all that, I want you to give her another chance.  Revive her physically, put some brain activities in the test so that the people that take care of her right now will not give up on her.  I am asking all these in Jesus name. Amen.

BookSummary: Fifth Discipline

The five disciplines of the learning organization discussed in the book are:
1) "Personal mastery is a discipline of continually clarifying and deepening our personal vision, of focusing our energies, of developing patience, and of seeing reality objectively." (p. 7)
2) "Mental models are deeply ingrained assumptions, generalizations, or even pictures of images that influence how we understand the world and how we take action." (p. 8)
3) "Building shared vision a practice of unearthing shared pictures of the future that foster genuine commitment and enrollment rather than compliance." (p. 9)
4) "Team learning starts with dialogue, the capacity of members of a team to suspend assumptions and enter into genuine thinking together." (p. 10)
5) Systems thinking – The Fifth Discipline that integrates the other 4.

"Systems thinking also needs the disciplines of building shared vision, mental models, team learning, and personal mastery to realize its potential. Building shared vision fosters a commitment to the long term. Mental models focus on the openness needed to unearth shortcomings in our present ways of seeing the world. Team learning develops the skills of groups of people to look for the larger picture beyond individual perspectives. And personal mastery fosters the personal motivation to continually learn how our actions affect our world." (p. 12)

The Learning Disabilities
1) "I am my position."

People fail to recognize their purpose as a part of the enterprise. Instead, they see themselves as an inconsequential part of a system over which they have little influence, leading them to limit themselves to the jobs they must perform at their own positions. This makes it hard to pinpoint the reason an enterprise is failing, with so many hidden ‘loose screws’ around.
2) "The enemy out there."
3) The Illusion of Taking Charge
4) The Fixation of Events

The tendency to see things as results of short-term events undermines our ability to see things on a grander scale. Cave men needed to react to events quickly for survival. However, the biggest threats we face nowadays are rarely sudden events, but slow, gradual processes, such as environmental changes.
5) The Parable of the Boiling frog
6) The Delusion of Learning from Experience
7) The Myth of the Management Team

The 11 Laws of the Fifth Discipline

1) Today’s problems come from yesterday’s "solutions."
2) The harder you push, the harder the system pushes back.
3) Behavior will grow better before it grows worse.
4) The easy way out usually leads back in.
5) The cure can be worse than the disease.
6) Faster is slower.
7) Cause and effect are not closely related in time and space.
8) Small changes can produce big results…but the areas of highest leverage are often the least obvious.
9) You can have your cake and eat it too —but not all at once.
10) Dividing an elephant in half does not produce two small elephants.
11) There is no blame.

And He said to them, Guard yourselves and keep free from all covetousness (the immoderate desire for wealth, the greedy longing to have more); for a man’s life does not consist in and is not derived from possessing overflowing abundance or that which is over and above his needs. Luk 12:15

[E. Stanley Jones tells about a poor man who had an overnight guest, and as he showed him to his humble bedroom in the hayloft he said, “If there is anything you want, let us know, and we’ll come and show you how to get along without it.” We don’t need to learn how to get more, but how to get along with what we’ve got, and get on with the business of living.]

Dream #1 – Saw a brown colored river which at first looks very ugly and cluttered with trees and branches and vines but as I kept walking I later saw a beautiful river that was maintained by someone.  The river was wide and shallow but was peaceful. Then there were soldiers walking towards me in full battle gear and were chased with mortar rounds but never hit them.  They continued to walk towards me to meet me.  One soldier was so scared that I have to tell him and show him that the mortar rounds did not hit him nor exploded

Today Was Planned…
I was not sleeping well last night due to the excitement of what about to happen today.  When I wake up this morning, a voice in my heart whispered “I planned this long time ago”.  I never understood the statement until my memory were taken back to 1989 and 2008.  Who were witnessing the big events in your life? Mama and Papa did.  When I had my near death experience in Mandaue with my bike crash, it was Mama and Papa that was there to witness the event.  In 2008, after my MI, Mama and Papa were there to witness my recovery.  Today, who is with me? They are both here to witness something special.  Somehow, God is trying to show something and bringing a spectator…

Filled with The Holy Spirit; Day307

AND WHILE they [Peter and John] were talking to the people, the high priests and the military commander of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them,  Being vexed and indignant through and through because they were teaching the people and proclaiming in [the case of] Jesus the resurrection from the dead.  So they laid hands on them (arrested them) and put them in prison until the following day, for it was already evening. But many of those who heard the message believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on Jesus as the Christ). And their number grew and came to about 5,000.  Then on the following day, their magistrates and elders and scribes were assembled in Jerusalem,  Including Annas the high priest and Caiaphas and John and Alexander and all others who belonged to the high priestly relationship.  And they set the men in their midst and repeatedly demanded, By what sort of power or by what kind of authority did [such people as] you do this [healing]?   Then Peter, [because he was] filled with [and controlled by] the Holy Spirit, said to them, Rulers of the people and members of the council (the Sanhedrin),   If we are being put on trial [here] today and examined concerning a good deed done to benefit a feeble (helpless) cripple, by what means this man has been restored to health,   Let it be known and understood by all of you, and by the whole house of Israel, that in the name and through the power and authority of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Whom you crucified, [but] Whom God raised from the dead, in Him and by means of Him this man is standing here before you well and sound in body.   This [Jesus] is the Stone which was despised and rejected by you, the builders, but which has become the Head of the corner [the Cornerstone]. [Ps. 118:22.]   And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved.  Now when they saw the boldness and unfettered eloquence of Peter and John and perceived that they were unlearned and untrained in the schools [common men with no educational advantages], they marveled; and they recognized that they had been with Jesus. Great Faith; Day306

And going away from there, Jesus withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a woman who was a Canaanite from that district came out and, with a [loud, troublesomely urgent] cry, begged, Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is miserably and distressingly and cruelly possessed by a demon!  But He did not answer her a word. And His disciples came and implored Him, saying, Send her away, for she is crying out after us. He answered, I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. But she came and, kneeling, worshiped Him and kept praying, Lord, help me!  And He answered, It is not right (proper, becoming, or fair) to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs. She said, Yes, Lord, yet even the little pups (little whelps) eat the crumbs that fall from their [young] masters’ table.  Then Jesus answered her, O woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you wish. And her daughter was cured from that moment. Mat 15:21-28

Healing; Day304; The Power of the Name

NOW PETER and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour (three o’clock in the afternoon),  [When] a certain man crippled from his birth was being carried along, who was laid each day at that gate of the temple [which is] called Beautiful, so that he might beg for charitable gifts from those who entered the temple.  So when he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked them to give him a gift.   And Peter directed his gaze intently at him, and so did John, and said, Look at us!  And [the man] paid attention to them, expecting that he was going to get something from them.  But Peter said, Silver and gold (money) I do not have; but what I do have, that I give to you: in [the use of] the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk! Then he took hold of the man’s right hand with a firm grip and raised him up. And at once his feet and ankle bones became strong and steady, And leaping forth he stood and began to walk, and he went into the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.  And all the people saw him walking about and praising God, And they recognized him as the man who usually sat [begging] for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement (bewilderment, consternation) over what had occurred to him.  Now while he [still] firmly clung to Peter and John, all the people in utmost amazement ran together and crowded around them in the covered porch (walk) called Solomon’s. And Peter, seeing it, answered the people, You men of Israel, why are you so surprised and wondering at this? Why do you keep staring at us, as though by our [own individual] power or [active] piety we had made this man [able] to walk?  The God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our forefathers, has glorified His Servant and Son Jesus [doing Him this honor], Whom you indeed delivered up and denied and rejected and disowned in the presence of Pilate, when he had determined to let Him go. [Exod. 3:6; Isa. 52:13.] But you denied and rejected and disowned the Pure and Holy, the Just and Blameless One, and demanded [the pardon of] a murderer to be granted to you. But you killed the very Source (the Author) of life, Whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses. And His name, through and by faith in His name, has made this man whom you see and recognize well and strong. [Yes] the faith which is through and by Him [Jesus] has given the man this perfect soundness [of body] before all of you. Act 3:1-16

Holy Spirit; Day303; Deliverance to the Captives

THEN JESUS, full of and controlled by the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led in [by] the [Holy] Spirit
For (during) forty days in the wilderness (desert), where He was tempted (tried, tested exceedingly) by the devil. And He ate nothing during those days, and when they were completed, He was hungry. [Deut. 9:9; I Kings 19:8.] Then the devil said to Him, If You are the Son of God, order this stone to turn into a loaf [of bread].  And Jesus replied to him, It is written, Man shall not live and be sustained by (on) bread alone but by every word and expression of God. [Deut. 8:3.]  Then the devil took Him up to a high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the habitable world in a moment of time [in the twinkling of an eye]. And he said to Him, To You I will give all this power and authority and their glory (all their magnificence, excellence, preeminence, dignity, and grace), for it has been turned over to me, and I give it to whomever I will. Therefore if You will do homage to and worship me [just once], it shall all be Yours. And Jesus replied to him, Get behind Me, Satan! It is written, You shall do homage to and worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve. [Deut. 6:13; 10:20.] Then he took Him to Jerusalem and set Him on a gable of the temple, and said to Him, If You are the Son of God, cast Yourself down from here; For it is written, He will give His angels charge over you to guard and watch over you closely and carefully; And on their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. [Ps. 91:11, 12.] And Jesus replied to him, [The Scripture] says, You shall not tempt (try, test exceedingly) the Lord your God. [Deut. 6:16.]  And when the devil had ended every [the complete cycle of] temptation, he [temporarily] left Him [that is, stood off from Him] until another more opportune and favorable time. Then Jesus went back full of and under the power of the [Holy] Spirit into Galilee, and the fame of Him spread through the whole region round about. And He Himself conducted [a course of] teaching in their synagogues, being recognized and honored and praised by all. So He came to Nazareth, [that Nazareth] where He had been brought up, and He entered the synagogue, as was His custom on the Sabbath day. And He stood up to read. And there was handed to Him [the roll of] the book of the prophet Isaiah. He opened (unrolled) the book and found the place where it was written, [Isa. 61:1, 2.] The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity],  To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound]. [Isa. 61:1, 2.] Then He rolled up the book and gave it back to the attendant and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were gazing [attentively] at Him. Luk 4:1-20

Simple Instruction-Come To Him; Day301

All whom My Father gives (entrusts) to Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, no never, reject one of them who comes to Me].  For I have come down from heaven not to do My own will and purpose but to do the will and purpose of Him Who sent Me.  And this is the will of Him Who sent Me, that I should not lose any of all that He has given Me, but that I should give new life and raise [them all] up at the last day.   For this is My Father’s will and His purpose, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] at the last day. Now the Jews murmured and found fault with and grumbled about Jesus because He said, I am [Myself] the Bread that came down from heaven. They kept asking, Is not this Jesus, the Son of Joseph, Whose father and mother we know? How then can He say, I have come down from heaven? So Jesus answered them, Stop grumbling and saying things against Me to one another. No one is able to come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me attracts and draws him and gives him the desire to come to Me, and [then] I will raise him up [from the dead] at the last day. It is written in [the book of] the Prophets, And they shall all be taught of God [have Him in person for their Teacher]. Everyone who has listened to and learned from the Father comes to Me–[Isa. 54:13.] Joh 6:37-45

Bread of Life; Day300

Therefore they said to Him, What sign (miracle, wonderwork) will You perform then, so that we may see it and believe and rely on and adhere to You? What [supernatural] work have You [to show what You can do]?  Our forefathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as the Scripture says, He gave them bread out of heaven to eat. [Exod. 16:15; Neh. 9:15; Ps. 78:24.]  Jesus then said to them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Moses did not give you the Bread from heaven [what Moses gave you was not the Bread from heaven], but it is My Father Who gives you the true heavenly Bread. For the Bread of God is He Who comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world.  Then they said to Him, Lord, give us this bread always (all the time)!  Jesus replied, I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me will never be hungry, and he who believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me will never thirst any more (at any time). But [as] I told you, although you have seen Me, still you do not believe and trust and have faith. Joh 6:30-36

God’s Work; Day299

The next day the crowd [that still remained] standing on the other side of the sea realized that there had been only one small boat there, and that Jesus had not gone into it with His disciples, but that His disciples had gone away by themselves. But now some other boats from Tiberias had come in near the place where they ate the bread after the Lord had given thanks. So the people, finding that neither Jesus nor His disciples were there, themselves got into the small boats and came to Capernaum looking for Jesus. And when they found Him on the other side of the lake, they said to Him, Rabbi! When did You come here? Jesus answered them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, you have been searching for Me, not because you saw the miracles and signs but because you were fed with the loaves and were filled and satisfied.  Stop toiling and doing and producing for the food that perishes and decomposes [in the using], but strive and work and produce rather for the [lasting] food which endures [continually] unto life eternal; the Son of Man will give (furnish) you that, for God the Father has authorized and certified Him and put His seal of endorsement upon Him.  They then said, What are we to do, that we may [habitually] be working the works of God? [What are we to do to carry out what God requires?] Jesus replied, This is the work (service) that God asks of you: that you believe in the One Whom He has sent [that you cleave to, trust, rely on, and have faith in His Messenger]. Be Not Alarmed or Afraid; Day298

Now when evening had come, the boat was out in the middle of the lake, and He was by Himself on the land. And having seen that they were troubled and tormented in [their] rowing, for the wind was against them, about the fourth watch of the night [between 3:00-6:00 a.m.] He came to them, walking [directly] on the sea. And He acted as if He meant to pass by them, But when they saw Him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and raised a [deep, throaty] shriek of terror. For they all saw Him and were agitated (troubled and filled with fear and dread). But immediately He talked with them and said, Take heart! I AM! Stop being alarmed and afraid. [Exod. 3:14.] And He went up into the boat with them, and the wind ceased (sank to rest as if exhausted by its own beating). And they were astonished exceedingly [beyond measure], For they failed to consider or understand [the teaching and meaning of the miracle of] the loaves; [in fact] their hearts had grown callous [had become dull and had lost the power of understanding]. Task of Feeding; Day297

And when the day was already far gone, His disciples came to Him and said, This is a desolate and isolated place, and the hour is now late.  Send the crowds away to go into the country and villages round about and buy themselves something to eat.  But He replied to them, Give them something to eat yourselves. And they said to Him, Shall we go and buy 200 denarii [about forty dollars] worth of bread and give it to them to eat? [II Kings 4:42-44.]  And He said to them, How many loaves do you have? Go and see. And when they [had looked and] knew, they said, Five [loaves] and two fish.  Then He commanded the people all to recline on the green grass by companies. So they threw themselves down in ranks of hundreds and fifties [with the regularity of an arrangement of beds of herbs, looking like so many garden plots].  And taking the five loaves and two fish, He looked up to heaven and, praising God, gave thanks and broke the loaves and kept on giving them to the disciples to set before the people; and He [also] divided the two fish among [them] all. And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up twelve [small hand] baskets full of broken pieces [from the loaves] and of the fish.  And those who ate the loaves were 5,000 men. Mar 6:35-44

And He said to them, [As for you] come away by yourselves to a deserted place, and rest a while–for many were [continually] coming and going, and they had not even leisure enough to eat. And they went away in a boat to a solitary place by themselves. Now many [people] saw them going and recognized them, and they ran there on foot from all the surrounding towns, and they got there ahead [of those in the boat]. As Jesus landed, He saw a great crowd waiting, and He was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things. Mar 6:31-34

Be Wise and Gentle; Day289

Behold, I am sending you out like sheep in the midst of wolves; be wary and wise as serpents, and be innocent (harmless, guileless, and without falsity) as doves. [Gen. 3:1.] Be on guard against men [whose way or nature is to act in opposition to God]; for they will deliver you up to councils and flog you in their synagogues, And you will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a witness to bear testimony before them and to the Gentiles (the nations). But when they deliver you up, do not be anxious about how or what you are to speak; for what you are to say will be given you in that very hour and moment, For it is not you who are speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child; and children will take a stand against their parents and will have them put to death.  And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake, but he who perseveres and endures to the end will be saved [from spiritual disease and death in the world to come]. HTC Touch Pro2 to Android Setup

http://connect-utb.com/index.php?option=com_jdownloads&Itemid=68&task=view.download&catid=8&cid=54

1. Download the full bundle (zip).

2. Extract it. You’ll see a folder, FRX04, copy its contents to the root of your SD card.

3. Go into the STARTUPS folder. Grab the appropriate startup.txt for your device, and move it to the root of the card (or where you run haret.exe from. If you want to change the location of the build, put a rel_path= statement in the cmdline section of the startup.txt. Mine is located two folders deep on the SD, so my rel_path=Androids/TP2Ref)

4. Click haret.exe on your phone thru File Explorer, Total Commander, etc.

5. Watch the boot process – you’ll see a section where you have to calibrate the screen – don’t forget to do this! Optionally, if you’ve already done this copy your ts-calibration file from your other build.

Don’t Fear Persecution; Day288

When they persecute you in one town [that is, pursue you in a manner that would injure you and cause you to suffer because of your belief], flee to another town; for truly I tell you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.  A disciple is not above his teacher, nor is a servant or slave above his master.
It is sufficient for the disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant or slave like his master. If they have called the Master of the house Beelzebub [master of the dwelling], how much more will they speak evil of those of His household. [II Kings 1:2.] So have no fear of them; for nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, or kept secret that will not become known. Mat 10:23-26

Handling Non-Listeners; Day287

And into whatever town or village you go, inquire who in it is deserving, and stay there [at his house] until you leave [that vicinity]. As you go into the house, give your greetings and wish it well. Then if indeed that house is deserving, let come upon it your peace [that is, freedom from all the distresses that are experienced as the result of sin]. But if it is not deserving, let your peace return to you.  And whoever will not receive and accept and welcome you nor listen to your message, as you leave that house or town, shake the dust [of it] from your feet.  Truly I tell you, it shall be more tolerable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town. Power Transfer; Day286

AND JESUS summoned to Him His twelve disciples and gave them power and authority over unclean spirits, to drive them out, and to cure all kinds of disease and all kinds of weakness and infirmity. Now these are the names of the twelve apostles (special messengers): first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James son of Zebedee, and John his brother; Philip and Bartholomew [Nathaniel]; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus [Judas, not Iscariot];  Simon the Cananaean, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him. Jesus sent out these twelve, charging them, Go nowhere among the Gentiles and do not go into any town of the Samaritans; But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.  And as you go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand! Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely (without pay) you have received, freely (without charge) give. Take no gold nor silver nor [even] copper money in your purses (belts);  And do not take a provision bag or a wallet for a collection bag for your journey, nor two undergarments, nor sandals, nor a staff; for the workman deserves his support (his living, his food). And into whatever town or village you go, inquire who in it is deserving, and stay there [at his house] until you leave [that vicinity]. Mat 10:1-11
